Trignometry Demo

Enter trignometric experssions involving sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, angles involving %pi and see how much MAXIMA understands trignometric expressions.

MAXIMA also understands arc functions such as asin, acod etc. as well as hyperbolic functions such as sinh, cosh, etc. See the the manual for more info.

In the resizable box above, each line contains a command which is terminated by a semicolon (;). After the semicolon, extra white space or any other characters are NOT allowed. Enter each command, one at a time, into Maxima Online.

Each command is entered to MAXIMA after you see a displayed input prompt, (i1) or (i2) for example, and submitted with the ENTER key. This way, you can perform the demo step by step.
