Complex Numbers Demo

MAXIMA knows about complex numbers and functions. See the the manual for more info.

In the resizable box above, each line contains a command which is terminated by a semicolon (;). After the semicolon, extra white space or any other characters are NOT allowed. Enter each command, one at a time, into Maxima Online.

Each command is entered to MAXIMA after you see a displayed input prompt, (i1) or (i2) for example, and submitted with the ENTER key. This way, you can perform the demo step by step.

An easy way to enter a command is to first highlight the command then drag-and-drop it as input to Maxima Online. Clik on that input line to see the I-beam right after the semicolon (;), then hit the ENTER key to submit the command.

If you got stuck or are finished with Maxima Online, close its window.
So you can restart it again.
